Healing can take many forms, and through our Paths to Healing program. MCVRC crime victims experienced the power of connection, trust, and emotional wellness in a unique and meaningful way.

This event was generously hosted by Common Grounds, this experience gave clients the opportunity to step away from everyday stressors and spend time in a peaceful environment focused on healing. Each participant was paired with a horse of their own, allowing them to build trust, practice mindfulness, and experience comfort through connection.

At Common Grounds, experiences with horses provide opportunities for individuals to heal from trauma, reduce stress, build self-confidence, and develop important life skills. Through guided interactions with their equine teachers, clients experienced a sense of accomplishment, well-being, and hope throughout the journey.

Programs like Healing with the Herd remind us that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Through compassion, support, and meaningful experiences, crime victims can continue finding new paths toward strength, resilience, and healing.
